Information for participants

Swim with the third edition of the SingelSwim Utrecht on Sunday, June 18th, 2017 Park Lepelenburg. Are you healthy, 16 years or older and not pregnant? If so, then you are qualified. Swim 1.2 or 2 km from the historic Utrecht Singel for charity for FSHD muscle disease, which is caused by an error in the DNA. In the Netherlands around 2,000 people suffer from FSHD muscle disease.  They have the faulty gene switched ON. The research of Prof. Dr. Niels Geijsen from the Hubrecht Institute in Utrecht offers a hope of finding a drug to switch the faulty gene OFF.

Kids Swim Utrecht

Kids Swim Utrecht will take place prior to the SingelSwim Utrecht. Children between 10 and 15 years old can participate when accompanied by an adult (18+). They will swim the last 800 metres of the official 2km trail SingelSwim Utrecht.  You can find more information about the terms and conditions on the Kids Swim page. Participation in the Kids Swim Utrecht is € 50.00 for a child with supervisor. With its own action page on the website, children can raise money for the charity of the Singel Swim Utrecht.
